It indeed comes with a black ceramic bezel featuring the 1/10th of a second graduation, a unique bezel typology for chronographs, differing from the more common tachymeter scales. Compared to previous iterations of the Chronomaster, the main difference is the bezel – an element that drastically changes the overall look of the watch, making it far more modern. Still sharp and angular, with its distinctive lugs that were first found on the 1969 A386 watch, it also brings a new intermediate and contemporary diameter of 41mm. It maintains the overall look and signature elements of the most recent iterations of the model in a sportier, more functional variant. The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is probably the brand’s most discussed watch in several years but in a very positive way. Following the inaugural steel editions, the Zenith Chronomaster Sport now comes in a rose gold version. More modern, sportier, it shows a new design outside and a significant boost inside, with enhanced mechanics. This new Chronomaster Sport is a fresh and sharper new look for a collection that has spawned numerous versions and generations since it was originally presented at the 1994 Basel watch fair. In early 2021, Zenith introduced a new vision of its legendary El Primero chronograph that made a lot of noise, being extremely well received by both the press and watch enthusiasts – us included.
